Marine Invertebrate ID Seminar, offered by the Dive Club of Silicon Valley FREE of charge. NOAA scientist Dr. Steve Lonhart will teach this course. Upon completing this basics ID seminar you should be able to identify most common Invertebrates in the Monterey Bay area. Also, you will learn how to conduct REEF surveys while diving.

REEF Fish ID Training Seminar at Scuba Dogs of Puerto Rico, Buen Samaritano #D-13, Gardenville, Guaynabo, PR. Seminar will start at 7PM. Learn the names of and how to identify the local fish at a FREE Fish ID seminar. Also learn how to conduct REEF surveys during any snorkel or dive. The training will be capped off with survey dives to launch our Fish census program at Pocita Underwater Park, Playa Escambron.

Fish Survey in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Reef Research Team is hosting the GAFC in Northeast Florida. Instructors from the JRRT and REEF will be teaching free fish identification classes all month at participating dive retailers. July 18th, the team will conduct a survey Offshore Jacksonville. Sign up early - Boat spaces are limited. GAFC Round-up BBQ will be held August 1. Prizes will be awarded for contests and raffles held throughout the month.

Winners in each category receive a SeaDoc imprinted coffee mug, and everyone who enters gets a seashore life pocket field guide and SeaDoc sticker.
