Keystone Jetty GAFC Dive Day and BBQ

Event Type: Dives
Region: Pacific Coast (PAC)

Taken a REEF class and want to try your hand at doing a few surveys? Done lots of surveys and want to find new fish-geek friends and have fun? Never done a survey or taken a class but just want to see what all this REEF fuss is about?

Join us on Saturday, July 26th for a day of fun diving, surveying, identifying critters and BBQ! Do as few or as many dives as you like. We won't plan your dives for you, (that's your job) but will tell you that it's a great day current-wise and slack hits about 12:30pm. (about 30 min prior to Admiralty Head is slack before ebb at Keystone)

Keystone Jetty, located near the Keystone ferry landing on Whidbey Island, is known for its diverse and colorful variety of fish and invertebrates. Diving at the nearby pilings also provide a terrific second dive.

We'll be there about 10am and snag a few picnic tables for the group. Look for the REEF signs, check in, do a dive or two and enjoy some great food and company.

You bring:
Dive gear (of course!)
Chairs
Potluck munchies to share
REEF slate, if you have one

We'll bring:
Underwater paper for your slate
ID books
A few loaner slates
Hotdogs, hamburgers and fixings
BBQ grill

Registration Instructions:
Please contact Janna at 360-798-6414 if you'd like to come so we can get a head count for food purchases! More info: www.pnwscuba.com/critterwatchers
