Thanks for your interest in the Lionfish Collecting and Handling Workshop in Tallahassee, Florida. This workshop will be held at the Tallahassee Museum (3945 Museum Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32310) on May 14th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The workshop will cover the history of the invasion, lionfish biology, ecological impacts, venomology, how to avoid getting stung, first aid for stings, and recommended techniques for collection, handling and filleting. This workshop is made possible through funding from the US Fish and Wildlife Service and support from the Tallahassee Museum and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Please note: minors attending should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
