Parrotfish ID Help

Is this a Redtail Parrotfish?

Thanks, Terry

Where did you see this fish?

Location is important for fish ID.  This is most likely a redtail; however, the saddle parrotfish is present in South America and the extreme southeast Caribbean, and it is similar in appearance.

That said, while it's hard to see color in this photo, it looks like the tail has yellow in it, which would make it a redtail.

Great Inagua, Southern Bahamas.

Sorry about the picture quality.  I thought it looked more like a saddle than a red tail but the location was throwing me off.  We had a long debate on the dive boat and came to the same conclusion, I.e. It looks more like a saddle but we were in the wrong ocean.

Thanks for your input.  I needed another opinion.
