Can't ID these pair

Hi Everyone.

I went diving, for the first time, in the Maldives last october.

Whilst diving on the house reef I spotted these fish. I have tried to identify them but cannot.

I have even trawled through fishabse.org without success.

I know that you specialise in American/Carribean species but even if you can point me in the right direction as to the genus then that would be a great help.

Hopefully, some kind person will put me out of my misery.
