So, out of 1500 pictures taken over 40 dives and 7 days of diving, I have narrowed down my unknown fish pictures to these. They were all taken in Bonaire the first week of April, 2010 and all in less than 60 fsw.

If you mouse over the pictures, it will give you a brief description of what I was thinking on each of them.

Thanks in advance.

Wow

Wow, you found some cool fish. That's a lot of diving in a week and 1500 photos! You must have some amazing shots.

1. Definitely a Cardinal. I think it must be an extra pale Pale Cardinal.

2. Juvenile Spanish Hogfish. Juveniles act as cleaners and thus are readily found almost everywhere.

3. Juvenile Redband Parrotfish.

4. Looks like it could possibly be a post-larval Cardinal.

5. Spanish Hogfish. I've also seen this odd color phase. Usually only in the largest adults.

6. Weird, but I'm pretty sure it's just a Spotfin Butter. The second larger spot is normal on intermediate sized fish, but I've never seen that black bar on the flank.

7. Dusky Cardinalfish

Louis is right

2 and 5 Spanish Hogfish
3 Juvi Redband
6 Spotfin Butterflyfish (there is one with the large spot and the black flank bar in the Humann DeLoach DVD.

and I'm just going to trust Louis with the Cardinal fish (lol) too many of those to look through.
