These pictures were taken at Paradise Reef, Cozumel on 4/15/11 in about 32fsw. I'm thinking sharknose goby, broadstripe goby or maybe a juvenile bluehead.
It seems to have too many alternating black/white stripes for any of the ones you mentioned. It looks to me more like a young Princess Parrotfish, but I haven't seen one this tiny. Is this what very very young Princess Parrotfish looks like?
Thanks livi120. The DVD does show a juvenile princess parrotfish that looks similar to this little guy, so that could be a possibility. Nice suggestion!
