Is this a pigfish?
Molasses Reef, buoy M-21, Key Largo, Florida, June 12, 2011, depth 28 feet, bottom temperature 81 degrees.
Looking closely at the pattern of scales on the back and tail, I would say yes this is a photo of a pigfish. You can compare with this photo at http://www.mbara.org/PhotoAlbumDisplay.cfm?PhotoID=2535. The fins on your photo look a little blue, but that could be the lighting or photo processing.
I have been checking several times a day. I knew, if I was patient, a knowlegeable person would help. I am glad it was you. Thank you.
I Photoshop almost all my photos. My camera takes horrible underwater pictures. And, I suspect, Photoshop made the fins blue.
