I shot this picture in Little Cayman. This little guy was about a inch long. Any ID help would be appreciated.
That is a juvenile parrotfish of the genus Sparisoma. People keep on calling them blennies- you are not the only one. Note the tiny little mouth at the end of a pointy little snout- means not a blenny. Giant green eyes on a fat bodied baby fish says parrotfish.
Thank you for the response and the new insight. I have seen these before and, hopefully, will not mistake them for blennies in the future.
