Greetings REEF Members --

This issue of REEF-in-Brief features one of our valuable marine conservation programs, the Grouper Moon Project. Project scientist, Dr. Brice Semmens, provides an overview of the project and results from this year's research. While there are many collaborators and supporters who make this project possible, REEF is especially grateful to Wayne Sullivan, Peter Hillenbrand, the Little Cayman Beach Resort and Reef Divers, Southern Cross Club, the REEF volunteers who spent time in the field with us this year, and all of the great folks at the Cayman Islands Department of the Environment. We couldn't do it without you. Following the theme of fish love and in honor of Valentine's day earlier this month, Anna DeLoach shares her encounters with spawning hamlets. We would also like to remind you that there are many opportunities in 2010 to "Take a Trip that Counts" with REEF. Be sure to check out the schedule, including those destinations that are particularly well-suited for boosting your fish lifelist - Bonaire and Dominica. REEF is hitting the dive show circuit this year. Thanks to REEF volunteers, Park Chapman and Dawn Vigo, for all of their help at the recent Our World Underwater show in Chicago. Look for us at upcoming shows in New Jersey, Washington, and California.

And finally, we would like to thank all of you who have donated to REEF during our Winter fundraising campaign. If you haven't donated yet, please consider sending your gift today. Donate securely online today, or mail your donation to REEF!
