A great trip for beginners and experienced surveyors alike, and a perfect destination for your non-diving companions. We will be diving with Wall to Wall Diving, an operation with a great reputation among REEF surveyors. REEF Expert and Fishinar Instructor, Jonathan Lavan, will teach daily seminars using many of his own award-winning underwater photographs.

Cost Per Person: $1,413 (double occ) $2,391 (single occ)

What is included: Your package includes 7 nights double occupancy accommodation at Comfort Suites & Resort in a Studio Room with kitchenette, 5 days of 2 tank diving, transfers to/from Wall to Wall dive shop each day (a short drive), daily hot buffet breakfast, WiFi access, all taxes.

Additional fees: A REEF Program Fee of $300 per diver will be added to each package to cover the cost of the group leaders, seminar and survey materials. Nitrox available with advance notice ($10/tank). Ground and airport transportation is not included. Airport transfers can be arranged via taxi, approximately $20 one-way. The hotel is centrally located in Georgetown within walking distance to many restaurants, so a car is not necessary unless you want to explore the island.  Daily lunch and dinner not included.

Airport/hotel transfer information:Participants fly into/out of George Town (GCM) Owen Roberts International Airport. From there participants may arrange for a taxi at the stand outside the airport.

About the trip leader: Jonathan Lavan has logged hundreds of fish surveys across the world and was REEF’s 2012 Volunteer of the Year. Jonathan joined REEF in 2004 and since then has become a member of REEF's Advanced Assessment Teams for both the Tropical Western Atlantic and Pacific Coast survey regions, gathering key data on marine fish and invertebrate populations for REEF's publicly accessible online database. He has submitted surveys in five of REEF's six regions. Jonathan is also known to many as the voice of REEF’s Fishinars, and he teaches several of these popular webinars each year.
