Thanks for your interest in REEF Fish & Friends! We are pleased to welcome our speaker for March, Robert Stephen Mahoney, Conservation Chair of Sierra Club Miami Group.

Since 2000, Robert has been a volunteer member of the Sierra Club Miami Group executive board. In 2002 he was elected the Conservation Chair and continues to serve in that role. He has taken on the position of climate change representative for the Miami Group. He is serving on the Florida Chapter Executive Committee, the Conservation Committee, the Greater Everglades Team, the Marine Team, and the Climate Change Team. A retired professor, he has been teaching environmental science for nearly 30 years. He will first share a global overview of climate change, and then focus on coral bleaching and ocean acidification, two issues affecting the Florida Keys. Join us to learn about how climate change is impacting the ocean.

REEF Fish & Friends is a free, monthly seminar series that features engaging ocean-themed presentations from guest speakers. Snorkelers, divers, and marine life enthusiasts are invited to join informal discussions and mingle with members of our friendly, ocean-minded community. Complimentary appetizers and refreshments are provided. The evening kicks off with a social starting at 6:15pm, and the presentation begins at 7pm.
