With immersive exhibits, ocean-inspired design, and flexible spaces, our venue supports gatherings that engage and inspire.

REEF is conveniently located at Mile Marker 98 of the Overseas Highway in the Upper Keys, just 60 miles from Miami International airport. Organizations, school groups, businesses, and other groups will find REEF Campus facilities equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual and production capabilities, including dramatic indoor and outdoor event spaces that can accommodate events ranging from small gatherings to multi-day productions with over 100 attendees.

The heart of the REEF Campus is the Ocean Exploration Center, a modern museum facility that opened in June 2025. The Center features over 100 life-sized fish models, a dramatic reef sculpture, and immersive photo panoramas—providing a memorable backdrop for meetings, celebrations, and educational programs. The Center has a variety of spaces, including a classroom, two conference rooms, and a seminar gallery with seating for 80.

The REEF Campus also includes a separate Reefscape Room with seating for 35, and lush outdoor gardens with patio seating. 

Each of these spaces are designed for immersive educational experiences, presentations, hybrid/virtual programs, and large-scale events, with a sophisticated A/V system that spans both indoor and outdoor areas, enabling zone-based control and automation.

Rates: We offer rental package in four time block options: 1-hour (anytime during regular operating hours), half-day (9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm), full day (9am-5pm), and after-hours (5pm-8pm). Rates vary by space and timeblock. Examples include: $200 for one-hour use of a conference room, $550 for half-day use of the Science Discovery Classroom, and $1,725 for full-day use of the Ocean Outreach Gallery. 

Ocean Exploration Center

Maximum Capacity (Entire Building): 136 guests
Our flagship facility offers state-of-the-art A/V, live-streaming capabilities, and accessible design throughout with electronic lift access to the second floor. Rent the full building or select individual spaces that match your vision and needs.

First Floor Spaces:

  • Science Discovery Classroom - Seating capacity: 35
    Perfect for hands-on learning, break-out sessions, programs, and workshops. Zoom Room enabled.
  • Founders Gallery of Ocean Exploration - Standing capacity: 30
    A dramatic, interactive exhibit hall showcasing our central reef sculpture and marine science displays—ideal for exhibit receptions, photo sessions, and experiential programming.

The double glass doors to the classroom can be opened and the space can be an extension of the Founders Gallery, allowing for use of the entire first floor.

Second Floor Spaces:

  • Ocean Outreach Gallery - Capacity: 100+, depending on floor plan
    • Large flexible-use space
    • Accommodates conferences, lectures, receptions, and milestone celebrations. Zoom Room enabled. Bright and open with panoramic visuals and porches
       
  • Two Conference Rooms - Grouper Room and Nudibranch Conference Room - Capacity: 12 (Grouper) and 6 (Nudibranch)
    • Dedicated boardroom-style spaces for meetings, small team retreats, or breakout groups. The Grouper Room is Zoom Room enabled.

Center Facilities:

  • Two single stall ADA restrooms are available on the first floor and one single stall ADA restroom on the second floor.
  • Electronic lift access for guests with limited mobility.
  • Kitchenette on second floor, suitable for staging catering.
  • Parking in front of the building, including one ADA Handicapped space and space for bus/motorcoach
  • State-of-the-art A/V system throughout all spaces

Reefscape Room

Maximum Seated Capacity: 35 guests
This versatile classroom and meeting space is in a separate building from the Ocean Exploration Center. It features a floor-to-ceiling mural that provides a one-of-a-kind "underwater" experience without having to get on a boat. The mural combines many different marine ecosystems found in the Florida Keys, offering an up close and personal point of view. ADA accessible. A/V system, single-stall restroom.

Outdoor Oasis and the Native Plants & Heritage Trail

Explore a tranquil educational trail winding through native flora and heritage displays. The Outdoor Oasis includes a shaded picnic pavilion, benches, and open-air gathering spots—ideal for social events, meal breaks, and nature programs.

Full Campus Experience – Private REEF Campus Rental

Capacity: Over 200 guests (across all spaces)

Audio-Visual (A/V) Packages

Make your event seamless with REEF’s professional A/V support, available in both the Ocean Exploration Center and Reefscape Room. We offer tiers of A/V packages to suit a variety of needs, from simple meetings to multi-day conferences and presentations. Our team is happy to assist in customizing A/V services based on your event type and audience size. Please note that equipment availability may vary by space. Packages can include:

Public Access & Private Rentals

The REEF Campus is open to the public during the following hours:
Friday–Monday & Wednesday: 10 AM–5 PM | Tuesday: 12 PM–8 PM | Closed Thursday

If your event will take place all or in part during our regular operating hours, unless otherwise arranged, only the specific space rented for your event will be closed to the public. Private, full-campus rentals are available outside public hours or with special approval.
