Meet Nicole Duran, REEF’s Campus Operations Assistant, who joined the REEF team in October 2026. Based at REEF’s Key Largo Campus, Nicole supports the day-to-day administrative and operational work that keeps REEF’s ocean conservation programs running smoothly, including shipping and store support, back-office processing, and facilities coordination.

Nicole earned a degree in Marketing from Florida State University, where she found a way to combine her creativity with her desire to give back and support meaningful causes. She has long had a passion for animals, the outdoors, and marine life, and volunteering at the Visitor Center at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park strengthened her interest in ocean conservation and in connecting people with the natural world.
That drive carries into everything she does. Nicole loves creating experiences that allow people to discover new places, learn something new, and connect with the world around them while protecting it.
Outside of work, she enjoys photography, exploring parks, kickboxing, thrifting, and discovering new coffee shops.
