Lionfish Taco Earrings by Jabebo
In Florida and the Caribbean this popular aquarium fish has escaped into the wild and is eating our native reef fish. They have voracious appetites and reducing the population of native fish that do not know how to avoid them. So far the only way we have to confront Lionfish is to go out and remove them. Luckily they make great seafood and Lionfish Tacos are a great choice!
These whimsical earrings are made from cereal box paperboard, original artwork, and a coat of resin to protect the cardboard. All metals are made from surgical steel. Jabebo Studio co-owners, Kevin and Mary Abbott, are also active REEF members. They started making mis-matched earrings in the early 1990s.
All products are designed and produced in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Do you live in PA? You can donate cereal boxes, check out their website for drop-off locations.
