Must ba a certified teacher or pre-service teacher to participate.A busy weeklong marine science course that will incorporate an open water certification scuba course with a basic marine science course. Learn fish/shark/turtle identification techniques using REEF products. Divers will conduct fish ID dives during the program in the WPB area. lodging, books, gear, ow course instruction, marine science instruction, and more are included in the program cost of $1199. SC science teacher and SSI instructor will teach this class.

An introductory course for teachers and pre-service teachers that will incorporate an open water scuba certification course within the program. Teachers will use REEF products to learn identification techniques for fish, sharks, and sea turtles. Course will start in Pickens, SC and finish in West Palm Beach, Fl. Teachers that are certified divers are welcome to participate. This is a week long course. Program cost includes open water certification, West Palm trip, mask/fins/snorkel/wetsuit boots, 6 nights motel during course, textbooks for course, and much more. Course price is $1199.

The "Great Annual Fish Count" occurs each year in July.
