Join REEF for an evening of eating and entertainment at Piccolo Ristorante. The event will include a four course tapas style lionfish dinner, complimentary wine and beer, lionfish education, filleting demonstration, and cooking instruction by Piccolo's very own Chef Andres Avayu.

REEF interns were invited to present a Fish Identification presentation in the Dagny Johnson Lecture Series 'The Delicate Balance of Nature 2013' from 730-830pm at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park Visitor Center located in Key Largo (MM102.5 Oceanside). Admission is free, but seating is limited.  Please bring a cushion for added seating comfort. During this lecture, REEF interns will teach the public how to properly identify common reef fish in the Keys, and how to get involved with our Volunteer Fish Survey project!

REEF will have a booth set up at the Nautical Flea Market at Founders Park in Islamorada both Saturday and Sunday starting at 8am. Come visit us to learn about our programs and see what merchandise we have for sale!

This spring's new interns will be presenting a free fish identification presentation at the REEF house (98300 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, FL 33037).  This event is open to the public and will be presented at 630-730pm.

REEF will have a booth set up at the entrance of Zoo Miami's Python Challenge Awards Event talking about the lionfish invasion.  The event is from 10am-4pm.

Advanced Assessment Team trip for annual monitoring of the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary

Join Smoky Mountain Divers Field Station for a fish survey on Saturday; January 19 and Sunday; January 20. We will dive each day offshore with Jupiter Diver Center (morning charter leaves 9AM, 2 tank dive) and then make afternoon dives on Saturday and Sunday at Blue Heron Bridge. 8-10 dives total. trip package includes motel (double occupancy) Friday and Saturday night, 2 - 1/2 day (Sat. and Sun.) boat charter fees, and 4 gas fills. Supper Saturday night. Cost is $400 per diver and $125 per non-diver.
