Fifteen participating teams helped collect a total of 312 lionfish on November 5th, 2011 for the Lower Keys Lionfish Derby!  

MOST LIONFISH

1st Place: Bottle Buddies (Robert Elkins and Robert Cerkleski) with 110 lionfish.

2nd Place: Off the Rock (Brad Nowicki and Mike Langston) with 52 lionfish.

3rd Place: Non-Native Slayers (Kate Correia, Ben Blinder, Cory Walter, and Erich Bartels) with 48 lionfish.

BIGGEST LIONFISH

1st Place:  Bottle Buddies (Robert Elkins and Robert Cerkleski) with with a 13.1 inch (344 mm) lionfish.

2nd Place:  Non-Native Slayers (Kate Correia, Ben Blinder, Cory Walter, and Erich Bartels) with a 12.6 inch (321 mm) lionfish.

3rd Place: Off the Rock (Brad Nowicki and Mike Langston) with a 11.7 inch (296 mm)lionfish.

SMALLEST LIONFISH

1st Place: Austin Assasins (Curtis Mueller, Harris Casey, David Price, and Matt Magnum) with a 3.15 inch (80 mm) lionfish.

2nd Place: Bottle Buddies (Robert Elkins and Robert Cerkleski) with a 3.19 inch (81 mm) lionfish.

3rd Place: The Slayers (Robert Kirk, Sugar Kirk, Kevin Coats and Karen Coats) with a 5.16 inch (131 mm) lionfish.
