Twenty-three participating teams helped collect a total of 706 lionfish on August 13th, 2011 for the 1st annual Palm Beach County Lionfish Derby!
MOST LIONFISH
1st Place: Chips Ahoy (Chip Garber, John Dickinson, Kevin Eaves, and Mike Cates) with 196 lionfish.
2nd Place: Helter Skeletons (Grant Stoecklin, Erick Ault, Anderson Berry, and Thomas Reinert) with 101 lionfish.
3rd Place: Lion Tamer Troopers (Bobbi Cooper, Brian Fezter, Pat Smith, and Angela Mazzocco) with 62 lionfish.
BIGGEST LIONFISH
1st Place: Chips Ahoy (Chip Garber, John Dickinson, Kevin Eaves, and Mike Cates) with a 374 mm lionfish.
2nd Place: Emerald Team (Terri Roberts, Char Weston, Andrew Nicoll, and Mark Hessee) a 348 mm lionfish.
3rd Place: Helter Skeletons (Grant Stoecklin, Erick Ault, Anderson Berry, and Thomas Reinert) with a 330 mm lionfish.
SMALLEST LIONFISH
1st Place: Team Frapper (Bob Hickerson, Roberth Orth, Maria Andreu, and Daryl Thomas) with a 38 mm lionfish.
2nd Place: Chips Ahoy (Chip Garber, John Dickinson, Kevin Eaves, and Mike Cates) with a 78 mm lionfish.
3rd Place: Helter Skeletons (Grant Stoecklin, Erick Ault, Anderson Berry, and Thomas Reinert) with a 81 mm lionfish.
Special Mention
Top Woman: Angela Mazzocco of team Lion Tamer Troopers won the prize for Top Woman with a total of 21 lionfish caught.
