Registration for the 2022 Florida Keys Lionfish Derby & Festival is Now Open!

Use this form to register your Lionfish Derby Team. One registration per team, teams consist of 2-4 divers. Teams can participate at one of two competative levels: Apex Predatory or Reef Defender. See the Derby event page for more details on the team levels.

2022 Lionfish Derby & Festival - September 8-11

REEF's 13th annual event will include two full days of lionfish fishing, followed by a family-friendly festival at picturesque Postcard Inn Resort & Marina that is free and open to the public. Team registration is open from June 2 through September 8 at 6:15pm ET.

Team Registration Costs

Early Bird Registration Rates
$75 per team before August 9, 2022

Regular Registration Rate
$100 per team on or after August 9, 2022 through 5pm ET on September 8, 2022

Minimum 2 people per team, maximum 4 people

Derby Event Schedule

Thursday, Sept. 8: Captain's Meeting for registered derby teams - 6:30-7:30PM (6:15 PM check in), REEF Campus Key Largo & virtual (link sent out to registrants); gear rental begins

Friday, Sept. 9: Fishing sunrise to sundown

Saturday, Sept. 10: Fishing sunrise to sundown

Sunday, Sept. 11: No fishing; Final Team Weigh-in 11:30AM; lionfish festival and awards ceremony at Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina; Awards Ceremony at 2:30PM
