Date & Time: Friday, July 16, 2010 - 9:00am - 4:30pm Location: Friday Harbor, WA Please join us for the REEF Great American Fish Count presented by Naknek Charters and The SeaDoc Society. The day will begin with a FREE fish and invertebrate identification class presented by SeaDoc Society's Chief Scientist, Joe Gaydos.
Learn how to identify some of the SoCal fish, invertebrates and algae you see on your dives. We'll be using common names, not scientific names, and focus on how to ID each critter. Classes help divers learn how to become citizen scientists and help monitor California marine life on their recreational dives. Data gathered goes into an online database to help students, researchers, scientists, etc. (see www.reef.org) * These classes will increase your enjoyment of diving!
Free classes for divers in the Pacific NW. Fish class is Friday night, Invertebrate class is Saturday morning.
