SAS: Lionfish Round-Up Dives, Beaufort NC

Scuba Charter to collect/hunt lionfish off shipwrecks in waters around Beaufort, NC. Advanced certification required, Nitrox Certification required. Comfortable diving depths over 100'-130'. Some lionfish collection gear provided, but divers must provide their own gear. Boat leaves at 6:45AM and will return around 4PM. Boat has A/C, freshwater showers, full-sized head, covered deck and sun deck. Divers must provide their own food and snacks.

West Palm Beach Dive Trip 12/26-12/29


Dive the great waters around Jupiter, Florida. We will dive Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Make 6 offshore boat dives. Trip includes 3 nights motel (double occ.), 3 days offshore diving with Jupiter Dive Center, and airfills.

Fish/Shark/Turtle ID classes are available prior to trip.

West Palm Beach Dive Trip 11/1-11/3

Dive the great waters around Jupiter, Florida and Blue Heron Bridge. We will dive Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Make 4 offshore boat dives and 4 dives at Blue Heron Bridge. Trip includes 2 nights motel (double occ.), 2 days offshore diving with Jupiter Dive Center, and airfills.

Each dive will be an opportunity to complete a TWA REEF fish ID sheet.

Fish/Shark/Turtle ID class is available prior to the trip for an additional cost and with advance notification.

Intro to REEF Data Collecting and West Palm Week Dive Trip

We will leave Sunday July 6 for 5 days of diving offshore Jupiter, Florida and 4-5 days diving world famous Blue Heron Bridge to include a night dive at the bridge. Trip fee will include 6 nights lodging at a nice local hotel, 4 days of boat charter fees, airfills, night dive at BHB, and 2 lunch dates. Families are welcome on this trip. Opportunities for REEF Data collecting will be done offshore and at Blue Heron Bridge. An Intro to REEF Data Collecting class is available for an additional $99. (Cost includes: Class, Fish ID Book and REEF Data Kit). Trip fee is $695 per person double occ.

Lionfish Round-Up and/or REEF Data Collection

Five Day Florida Fling

Dive the Jupiter portion and BHB portion of our Five Day Florida Fling. We will spend Wednesday diving offshore Jupiter and Thursday diving the world famous Blue Heron Bridge collecting fish data on our TWA data sheets. Bring your cameras and your Fish ID brain as you will see tons of fishes.  This trip is great for beginners and advanced ID people. Trip fee for this portion of the Five Day Florida Fling is $375 this includes 2 nights motel, boat charter fee, airfills, Wednesday lunch, and REEF data kits and the latest fish ID book from DeLoach and Humann.

Southeast Atlantic States (SAS) Fish ID Wreck Dive

Join Smoky Mountain Divers-Carolinas for 2 days of wreck diving with SAS group fish identification. Trip fee of $295 includes 2 regular day 2-tank offshore boat dives and airfills. Lodging, tanks, and dive gear is on your own. Dive Saturday and Sunday (Sept 28-29). Fish ID Data sheets are availble if needed.

Annual Christmas Break Fish ID Class (12/26 - 12/29)

Intro to Marine Science Teachers Course

Must ba a certified teacher or pre-service teacher to participate.A busy weeklong marine science course that will incorporate an open water certification scuba course with a basic marine science course. Learn fish/shark/turtle identification techniques using REEF products. Divers will conduct fish ID dives during the program in the WPB area. lodging, books, gear, ow course instruction, marine science instruction, and more are included in the program cost of $1199. SC science teacher and SSI instructor will teach this class.

Intro to Marine Science Teachers Course

An introductory course for teachers and pre-service teachers that will incorporate an open water scuba certification course within the program. Teachers will use REEF products to learn identification techniques for fish, sharks, and sea turtles. Course will start in Pickens, SC and finish in West Palm Beach, Fl. Teachers that are certified divers are welcome to participate. This is a week long course. Program cost includes open water certification, West Palm trip, mask/fins/snorkel/wetsuit boots, 6 nights motel during course, textbooks for course, and much more. Course price is $1199.
