Diving-Only Package includes 4 days of diving with Extended Horizons and all local and state taxes and fees (8.17%). There are several lodging add-on options, please inquire with the travel staff at Caradonna. The daily classroom sessions and the dive boat departures will be in Lahaina. We will dive with Extended Horizons for 4 days (3 to Lanai and 1 on Maui). Tuesday will be open for optional shore dives, including Hawaii's most species-rich site, Kahekili Beach. Extended Horizons operates Maui’s friendliest, most experienced, and caring scuba charter boat in Lahaina.
After completing a REEF Fish ID Class, you can join us for a REEF snorkel survey. The survey will last approximately 30-40 minutes and involve identifying, counting and recording reef fish observed in the Waikiki MLCD. Those wishing to participate in the survey should be strong swimmers, competent snorkelers, and have their own mask, snorkel and fins. Besides snorkel gear, please bring your own dive slate, survey paper, towel, sunscreen, water, rashguard or wetsuit. After the snorkel, we’ll gather briefly on the beach to identify any unknown fish and share sightings of cool marine critters.
Attend a fish identification and REEF (Reef Environmental Education Foundation) survey class provided by Reef Watch Waikiki. The class includes instruction on how to complete a REEF survey followed by basic coral reef ecology, fish biology, identification tips, and specific information about different fish families.
You do not need to bring anything to the class and parking will be validated! To reach the 7th floor conference room, park on the 6th floor in a visitor spot and use the elevators on the 6th floor.
