We are thrilled to share that we have reached our 2019 summer matching goal - to raise $70,000 to support REEF's citizen science, education, and research programs! So many REEF members stepped up to show their support for marine conservation, and we are so appreciative of your outstanding efforts. From all of us at REEF, thank you to everyone who contributed to our summer fundraising campaign, and a special thank you to the Curtis and Edith Munson Foundation, The Henry Foundation, and The Meyer Foundation who generously matched these gifts.

Who doesn't love Surgeonfish?

Tune in on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 8pm Eastern Time.

Our next Fishinar will be a special one! Join us for a free screening of the NOVA Documentary Ocean Invaders! Lionfish, long prized in home aquariums, have invaded the Atlantic and are now one of the ocean's most successful invasive species. Join ocean explorer Danni Washington on a journey to discover how they took over, why they are doing so much damage, and what can be done about it.

In addition to attending the 11th ICRS, REEF also hosted one of the conference Field Trips.  REEF and Horizon Divers hosted 14 participants from various locations around the world including Australia, Japan, Kenya, and several U.S. institutions.  Dr.

Hello and Happy Fall! In this issue of REEF-in-Brief, we remind you of the many ways to make dives that count, and share secrets for success in using the Online Data Entry program. While we still process paper survey scansheets, we highly recommend that our surveyors submit their data to the Volunteer Survey Project through the online program. Not only is it faster and more accurate, it requires less REEF staff resources and saves money on postage and paper.

Welcome to another edition of our e-newsletter, REEF-in-Brief. I want to personally thank the over 600 REEF members who donated during our Fall/Winter campaign. Through your generous support, we raised over $75,000. Donations from individuals are critical to helping ensure that we can continue critical marine conservation work. If you haven't given yet, please consider a contribution to REEF today.
