Hands-on activities, interactive displays, take-home arts & science kits, and much more!

Join us for our first-ever Arts & Science Festival! This family-friendly event will feature numerous local artists and environmental organizations sharing hands-on activities. The goal of the Arts & Science Festival is to engage our community and show how arts can connect the public to science and conservation. There will be interactive displays, activities, and booths to attract and engage audiences with science, conservation, and the environment. Along with educational games and activities, REEF will provide "Make and Take" art kits for attendees to bring home to continue the experience.

The REEF Arts & Science Festival is free and open to all ages!

This event is part of the REEF "Arts & Science Celebration Series" funded through the Florida Keys Council of the Arts '"Art Builds Community" Grant. This year, REEF and the United Way of Collier & the Keys (UWCK) have partnered to provide hands-on art experiences and workshops through the Arts & Science Celebration Series. REEF staff and local artists are providing workshops for ALICE residents in Monroe County. The project will help connect residents with art in the same way that REEF citizen science programs empower individuals to contribute to scientific research. Science does not happen only in labs, and art can be created and enjoyed by everyone. The project will show participants that art and science are all around us, easy to access, and fun to engage with. The Arts & Science Celebration Series will conclude with the REEF Arts & Science Festival on April 29, 2023.
