Located on a secluded key in Roatan, Honduras, CoCo View Resort is well known among divers for its excellent house reef. Guests will enjoy two daily boat trips and unlimited shore diving at CoCo View’s front yard reef, where more than 300 fish species have been recorded. Fish enthusiasts will be delighted to search for species like the Redcheeck Goby, found in the Bay Islands. The resort is an excellent fit for non-diving companions as well, who may enjoy front-yard snorkeling and access to ocean kayaks.

Funding Opportunity Available for Educators: Teachers, educators, and those who hold education-based positions may be eligible for Educator in the Field Fellowship, which enables a qualified educator to participate in this trip. Best Suited For: Divers and snorkelers. While CoCo View is primarily a dive resort, the home reef has excellent snorkeling and snorkelers are also welcome on their dive boats. Except for a few sites, most dive sites visited by boat are suitable for snorkelers as well.

Accommodations: There are two accommodation options for the trip. Overwater cabanas are built directly over the water and are located in three separate buildings. The cabanas are the most spacious guest rooms at the resort and are connected to the rest of the resort by wooden walkways. All cabanas are air-conditioned, and have a queen and double bed and a private porch, as well as a mini-fridge, coffee pot, Wi-Fi, and secure lockbox. Oceanfront rooms are located at the water's edge and are central to the dock and the resort clubhouse. Each room has a spacious private patio or deck, 1 queen and 1 double bed, air-conditioning, a mini-fridge, coffee pot, Wi-Fi, and a secure lockbox. Please note: Children 10 and older are welcome at CoCo View Resort, but must be under parental supervision at all times.

Diving: CoCo View Resort offers two boat dive trips daily. Each trip includes 2 tanks - one dive at a selected site and one "drop off" dive at one of the sites in front of the resort. Unlimited shore diving is also available at the house reef. The average water temperature during the time of the trip is approximately 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Tanks, weights, and weight belts are included in the cost of the trip. Nitrox is available by request, please inquire about the rate.
