Dive into an Ocean of Learning!
Dive into an ocean of learning with REEF Ocean Explorers Workshops.
In-person Ocean Explorers Workshops
We offer a variety of in-person programming, with a combination of classroom and field-based learning experiences. The programs are designed to appeal to all levels of marine enthusiasts. Schools, scouts, universities, dive clubs, and travel groups are invited to learn through hands-on, experiential education, and make a difference through volunteering. Our programs focus on marine science, but we also incorporate environmental studies, as well as cultural and natural history to give groups a comprehensive educational experience.
We tailor each program to the group's interests, age or grade level, and time availability. Sessions can include content from one of more area of study. Visit our Program Topics page for more information on the variety of topics your group can learn about. We can also add on field activities to your Explorers Program. Some of the most popular field activities include:
- SCUBA diving
- Glass bottom boat tours
- Tours of nearby attractions, including state and national parks
Virtual Ocean Explorers Workshops
If you aren't able to join us in person, we offer several options for virtual programming via live webinars. Virtual Ocean Explorers Workshops are similar to the in-person Workshops offered in Key Largo, but with one difference - you can attend from anywhere, even the comfort of your own home. Sessions include online interactive presentations and virtual activites, so that participants can build connections with the ocean regardless of zip code.
We tailor your program according to your group's interests, age or grade level, and time availability. Topics covered can include content from one or more of REEF's core areas of study. More information of these topics can be found on our Program Topics page.
Virtual Ocean Explorers Workshops will be held on a virtual meeting platform selected by REEF Education Staff prior to the Workshop date.
