Three weeklong camp sessions to be offered in Key Largo this June and July

KEY LARGO, FLA. – REEF Ocean Explorers Summer Camp will immerse children into an ocean of learning and fun! Three weeklong sessions will be offered this year: June 22-26 (ages 7-10), July 6-10 (ages 10-13), and July 20-24 (ages 7-10.) Camp is held at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.

At this ocean-themed day camp, explorers will get an up-close look at the underwater world and all of its amazing animals. Each week is filled with outdoor activities and adventures, including:

• Snorkeling at a coral reef
• Kayaking through mangrove trails
• Interacting with dolphins at Island Dolphin Care
• Special visits, wildlife connections, and outdoor adventures
• Learning about marine biology through hands-on lessons and conservation activities
• Connecting with nature and making new friends

Registration is now open, and campers may enroll in more than one session. The $400 per person camp tuition includes all entry fees, activity expenses, equipment rentals, snacks, and REEF gear including a t-shirt and water bottle. Campers are responsible for bringing their own packed lunch each day. A limited number of need-based camp scholarships are available.
