REEF Fest is an annual, four-day celebration to acknowledge the success of marine conservation and education initiatives in the Florida Keys. Events include educational seminars, social gatherings, diving and eco-adventures alongside some of the most prestigious names in diving and marine conservation. Create your own ocean-inspired painting while enjoying a beverage at a beautiful oceanside venue. No prior experience needed is needed; local artist Brittany Parker will provide step by step guidance to help you create the Spotted Eagle Ray painting shown above!
$45 per person includes all painting supplies and a beverage ticket. All proceeds benefit REEF's marine conservation programs.

Registration is open until May 28, 2021.
REEF's 12th annual event will include two full days of lionfish fishing culminating in a family-friendly festival at picturesque Postcard Inn Resort & Marina. The festival is open to the public and will include Lionfish scoring, fillet and dissection demonstrations, Lionfish tastings, Lionfish games and crafts, raffle prizes, and other activities and products from 30 environmentally-minded vendors. Chefs will be providing lionfish cooking demonstrations and special dishes and drink special will be available.
We are partnering with Florida Keys Brewing Company (FKBC) to host a socially-distant, outdoor screening of David Attenborough's new film, "A Life on Our Planet."
Proceeds from each pint of FKBC's Fish Tail Pale Ale sold during Movie Night will be donated to REEF. We will have some REEF swag available for purchase, including t-shirts and neck gaiters, which make great holiday gifts! Please note there there is limited seating at FKBC, so guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
Join us for our first ever Fish Out of Water Virtual 5K Race! The Fish Out of Water Virtual 5K is a chance to get out and get active in your local community while making your miles count. From September 28 - October 4, we're encouraging the REEF community and ocean enthusiasts everywhere to get moving in the name of conservation. You can choose to run, walk, hike, or bike, completing the 5K (3.1 miles) distance in one day or broken into smaller sections over the week.
Unfortunately, REEF’s Winter Lionfish Derby Event at Sharkey’s Pub and Galley for April 4, 2020 has been cancelled. We have exhausted the options of hosting a remote competition where teams can just drop off their fish, but at this time we are going adhere to the recommendations worldwide and encourage social distancing.
We will try to reschedule the Lionfish Derby competition in some capacity if possible in the upcoming months.
