The afternoon dive for the Miami workshop is currently full but please register and you will be put on the waitlist in case a spot opens up. 

Registered participants can still attend the morning session, obtain the FKNMS permit and observe the dissection and filet demonstrations after the dive.

Silent World Dive Center along side Florida Sea Grant, and The Friends of the Key Largo Cultural Center are happy to bring a FREE community screening of "BLUE" .

The next workshop will be hosted at Mote Marine Lab in Summerland Key on Wednesday October 24th, and will consist of a morning classroom session and afternoon dives with Captain Hook’s Strike Zone Charters in Big Pine Key. The workshop will begin at 9 AM, and will include background on the invasion, lionfish biology, ecological impacts, current research, collecting and handling techniques and much more! Attendees can obtain a permit to collect lionfish within the Sanctuary Preservation Areas in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary using hand nets only.

Join one of REEF's valued Conservation Partners, Scuba Center in Eagan, MN, for a presentation "Fish of the Philippines" which will start at 7pm Central Time. Join this Fish Night to learn about the species that you can find while snorkeling and diving in the Philippines which is an incredible diverse region full of reef life. Fish Nights are fun and free to attend. Friends, family and non-divers are all welcome to come and enjoy these informal, fun learning sessions. 

Help improve the health of coral reefs by hunting lionifsh in a REEF derby! Not a diver? You can also participate in the culinary competition by buying a VIP ticket. This will allow you to taste and vote on your favorite dish while promoting lionfish as a tasty and sustainable food choice.
