Join us and other's in the month of July for this great event to learn fish ID and go out to participate in the a REEF fish count survey. Event to be held at Force-E Pompano located at 1312 N. Federal Hwy. The classroom session starts at 9 am, followed by a 2 tank dive at 1 pm. After the dive trip, Force-E will be putting together a BBQ to celebrate. The classroom session is FREE and the price for the boat trip and BBQ is $65.

GAFC Field Survey Event at MacArthur State Park. Meet on the beach at 10 AM. This is a snorkel event only and reef access is via the beach. 

Fish ID seminar will be held at the park's nature center in North Palm Beach, FL from 6-8:30 pm. Point of contact: Charlie Jabaly, District Biologist, Florida Park Services, (772) 546-0900. 

 

Participants need to supply their own boat to join in on this GAFC event. Participants may either snorkel or scuba. Maximum depth will be approximately 10-33 feet. Prior registration is required. Departure is 8:00 am from Sand Sprit Park in Stuart, FL.

Part II of a Fish ID Seminar will take place from 10-2 pm at Jonathan Dickinson State Park nature center in Hobe Sound, FL. Please plan to bring your own lunch. 

As a new REEF Field Station, we're excited to offer our very first Fish ID Training Seminar at Shark's Cove/Pupukea Beach Park as part of the Great Annual Fish Count! During this FREE training class hosted by Malama Pupukea Waimea, you will learn the names of Hawaii's common reef fishes and how to conduct REEF surveys. After the training seminar, participants will have the opportunity to work in a team to conduct a 30-minute REEF Survey to record the different species and number of each fish observed.

Join us for Fish ID Seminar to learn the 50 most common fish in the waters of the Florida Keys. This seminar includes an interative presentation, free membership to REEF, and an opportunity to participate in a guided field survey dive. Pre-reistration is recommended.
