Alecia Adamson will be presenting an introductory Fish ID Course at the Key Largo Library on Tuesday, July 6th, 2010. It will start at 12:30 and will last approximately 2 hours. This is a great opportunity for divers to learn their fish identification skills necessary for participating in the Great Annual Fish Count Survey and to get more info on REEF programs.

Conch Republic divers will be hosting The Great Annual Fish Count Reef Survey on July 17th. The dive boat will depart at 1:00 pm from the Tavernire Creek Marina in Tavernire, FL Keys so please arrive by 12:30 to prepare for the survey. There will also be a Fish ID briefing on the way to the dive spot. The cost is $75.00 per person, which includes Tank and Weights.

Join Reef Watch Waikiki to conduct a REEF survey at Hanauma Bay. We will meet at 9am near the ticket booth and stay until 11am. Please bring your own snorkel gear (mask, snorkel, fins), towel and swimsuit, water, rashguard or wetsuit (optional), and a REEF slate (if you have one). We will bring extra REEF slates and survey paper. To participate in this REEF survey, you must first attend a reef fish identification training class.
