In the summer of 2014, recreational divers in Florida and the Bahamas will once again assemble teams, scout out hundreds of sites, sharpen their spears, ready their nets, and hone their collecting skills to prepare for another REEF summer lionfish derby series. Six years ago, REEF began hosting lionfish derbies throughout Florida and the Caribbean to address the lionfish invasion.

An amazing South Pacific adventure! This will be REEF's third trip aboard the NAI'A, a custom-built diving liveaboard yacht. We will visit bountiful reefs around the famous Bligh Waters region of Fiji, while being pampered by an amazing crew. We will also experience a traditional Fijian village and be treated to an evening of song and dance.

Their mission: remove lionfish. Their reward: more than $3,500 in cash prizes for bringing in lionfish and the knowledge that they are helping to save native fish populations.
