REEF's Volunteers of the Year

REEF Volunteers are at the heart of our programs. Without dedicated citizen scientists, our marine conservation programs would not exist. They are central to the REEF Volunteer Fish Survey Project, in which divers and snorkelers submit their sightings information to the largest marine life database in the world. REEF volunteers also conduct important marine conservation research alongside scientists as part of the Grouper Moon Project and the Lionfish Invasion Program.

Every year, REEF staff carefully selects a Volunteer of the Year based on their contribution to the organization, both above and below the water. With so many incredible volunteers to choose from, it is truly a difficult task, as all REEF volunteers deserve to be acknowledged for their generous donation of time and their unwavering dedication to marine conservation.

From all of us at REEF, we thank the following volunteers for going above and beyond to protect marine species and critters!
