Run, walk, hike, or bike to support ocean conservation

KEY LARGO, FLA. – All are invited to register for REEF’s Fish Out of Water Virtual 5K, to be held from Sept. 28 – Oct. 4. Participants may choose their preferred exercise (run, walk, bike, hike, etc.) to support ocean conservation. Each individual may complete the 5K (3.1 miles) at their own pace; in one day or over the course of the week.

Join us for our first ever Fish Out of Water Virtual 5K Race! The Fish Out of Water Virtual 5K is a chance to get out and get active in your local community while making your miles count. From September 28 - October 4, we're encouraging the REEF community and ocean enthusiasts everywhere to get moving in the name of conservation. You can choose to run, walk, hike, or bike, completing the 5K (3.1 miles) distance in one day or broken into smaller sections over the week.

Calling all blenny lovers! We need your help tracking the range expansion of the Chameleon Blenny (also known as Warthead Blenny) in the Tropical Western Atlantic.

Fishinars

Fishinars are free webinars that will teach you the finer points of fish ID. These educational sessions are open to anyone wanting to learn more about marine life. They are great for new REEF surveyors or anyone who wants to review. We record all Fishinars and make them available online for viewing at any time. With more than 190 archived sessions, you can find one for every ocean region and every level of experience.
