Are you looking for our COVID-19 procedures and policies? Click here for more info.

REEF Fest includes diving, snorkeling, kayak eco-tours, ocean-themed seminars, and social events. Since 2015, REEF has hosted REEF Fest each fall in the Florida Keys. Divers, snorkelers, and ocean lovers attend REEF Fest to celebrate their love of marine life and learn about the latest in conservation.

After a long stretch apart, we are especially looking forward to connecting together in person. Supporting the health and safety of attendees is our top priority. All REEF Fest events, aside from the seminars, are held at open air outdoor venues. We’ve also implemented increased sanitation and other measures to support healthy operations during the event. For more details about the specific health and safety measures, please contact us at events@REEF.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I participate in REEF Fest 2021?

All are invited to attend REEF Fest. Most events are free, but pre-registration is requested. You can register online for REEF Fest 2021 here. When completing your online registration form, you may also choose to purchase tickets to the 'For the Love of the Sea' Celebration and/or book your diving, snorkeling, or kayaking spaces on Friday and Saturday mornings.

Are you a former REEF Marine Conservation Intern interested in attending REEF Fest? If so, there may be an opportunity for you to receive travel funds to attend the event. Please click here for more information.

What is the cancellation policy for purchases, including diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and 'For the Love of the Sea' tickets?

Due to the nature of REEF Fest and the large number of guests who attend, no refunds are available for cancellation or no shows. All dive/snorkel trips are subject to change based on weather and other conditions. You will receive a full refund for the dive cost if the operator cancels that day's trip, however, we are not able to offer refunds for REEF Fest diving/snorkeling or kayaking under any other circumstance. There are no refunds for 'For the Love of the Sea' tickets unless the event does not take place.

What if I need rental gear for diving?

Please contact the dive shop to make arrangements for rental gear. All costs for rental gear will be paid directly to the dive shop. Tanks and weights are included in the cost of the dive trip and do not need to be reserved in advance.

I purchased tickets for 'The Love of the Sea' Celebration. When will I receive my tickets?

There are no physical tickets for the event. Your name will be on the list at the door.

I am looking for a place to stay. Do you have any recommendations?

We've partnered with Amoray Dive Resort for REEF Fest 2021 guest accommodations. Please visit the REEF Fest Lodging page for more details and booking information.

What precautions will be in place to support health and safety during REEF Fest?

REEF will be following all CDC guidelines and we encourage participants who are eligible to get vaccinated to protect themselves and others from COVID-19. Participants are also encouraged to wear masks when in large crowds, maintain social distancing, and frequently wash hands. All REEF Fest events will be held outdoors aside from the seminars, which are hosted in a large well-ventilated venue. REEF will be increasing sanitization, providing numerous hand sanitizing stations, and following best practices for safe food handling. We are continuously monitoring the status of COVID-19 within the region and the safety of our REEF Family is our priority. We are planning to offer virtual options for the seminars for those who cannot join the in-person event this year.
